SVALBARD EXPEDITION
A special journey to discover these remote islands located less than a thousand kilometers from the North Pole.
The islands form an archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, located between 74° and 81° North and between 10° and 34° East. They are the northernmost part of Norway and the most northerly inhabited lands on the planet.
During summer, it’s possible to navigate areas that, for the rest of the year, are virtually inaccessible due to the polar ice cap.
The goal is to experience something truly unique, exploring breathtaking landscapes and wildlife—from towering glaciers plunging into the sea to walrus colonies, the charming puffin, the arctic fox, whales, orcas, belugas, narwhals, and finally the majestic polar bear, the King of the Arctic.

25 June
Welcome to Svalbard!
Meeting in Longyearbyen, Svalbard Islands.

DAY 2
Longyarbyen
Arrival in Longyearbyen, free time to explore the small town with its picturesque views and unique character.
Group dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 1 – 12
Boarding/disembarking
On the morning of June 26th, you’ll have free time to visit the center of Longyearbyen and the Svalbard Museum.
Afterwards, we’ll transfer to the port, where we’ll board our beautiful private boat around 2:00 PM.
Make yourself comfortable; we’re setting sail for the wonderful world of Svalbard.
The sailing boat will leave Longyearbyen port heading north around 12:00 p.m. The captain will give us a welcome briefing, providing all the guidelines to help us get familiar with what will be our home for the coming days. Full board on board.
We’ll sail north through the archipelago, following a route shaped by weather and sea conditions. With the support of an expert guide, we’ll aim to spot as many polar bears as possible—the main highlight of any trip to these beautiful islands. We may also encounter whales, walruses, seals, reindeer, arctic foxes, and the beautiful belugas, frequently seen during the 2024 expeditions.
Weather permitting, we’ll try to carry out as many land excursions as possible.
This thirteen-day expedition will give you the opportunity to reach places that were previously inaccessible during past expeditions due to limited time. The main goal of the expedition is to reach the Arctic polar ice cap, offering breathtaking scenery found only in this part of the world—along with the largest polar bear population on the planet.
(On the Svalbard Islands, it is illegal to leave inhabited areas without carrying a firearm. If polar bears are nearby, it is mandatory to be armed in order to deter potential threats.)
Return to port usually takes place on the evening before disembarkation. We’ll spend the final night (under the midnight sun) either sailing or docked, depending on weather and logistics. The next morning, we’ll leave our beloved sailboat by 12:00, after breakfast. Transfer to the airport or hotel will follow.
