ANTHIAS

Underwater macro photography was my beginning in the underwater world. I simply started shooting with ambient light, then over the years I added flashes because they create a different effect, especially when you want to get a nice contrast of the subject from the background.

The Anthias fish, or sea chestnuts, is a bizarre species as it never stays still, but once you get it, you start to anticipate its movements, and thus be able to capture that much desired moment.
