This will be a real 360° discovery above and below the surface of the sea, where every day we have our private boat at your disposal to explore the beauty of these seabeds rich in life with its colorful inhabitants. We will have the freedom to choose what to dedicate ourselves to, thanks to the wonderful relationship I have built with the diving center with which I collaborate. Malapasqua is a special place, very interesting from an underwater point of view, from large predators such as the tiger shark, to smaller creatures such as the blue-ringed octopus and the pygmy seahorse. One of the beings that will characterize this experience will certainly be the thresher shark, unique in its kind for its alien shape and its hypnotic movements. This experience is open to all divers with an advance certification, above all to those who need their own space and want their own privacy. The location where we spend the night will have the best view of the whole island, the only one to have its own house reef, excellent for those who love snorkelling.
Thanks to my Filipino friends who live on the island I was able to touch this diamond in the middle of the sea, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Arrival in Cebu city, meeting at 10am in the morning, we will have our private transfer to Maya, about three hours by car. Once we arrive at the port of Maya we will have our private boat waiting for us to reach the island of Malapascua, about 40 minutes. It will be beautiful once we get off the dock and reach our lodge, our home for the next 9 days. The island has the right size to be explored whenever we feel the need to do so, every corner hides a pearl that we will find during our stay. There will be a welcome drink at the diving center to make friends and plan your dives for the next two days based on the weather and tides. We won’t miss the first aperitif on the barefoot beach with the sun setting and the sea breeze that will make us feel like the luckiest people on earth. Welcome to Neverland.
Today will be dedicated to exploring the island. I believe there is no better solution than starting a naturalistic experience by immediately exploring the place that will be our home for the next nine days. The island offers many white beaches, many hidden corners, fishing villages, places for street food, very nice restaurants that can enrich every moment of the day based on what we desire most. Having an idea of where we are right away could be very useful to you. Today will also be the day of the first official briefing at our diving center, where the ecosystem in which we find ourselves and the various dive sites will be explained to you to start planning what our underwater experience will be. During the hottest hours we can rest or arrange our underwater photography equipment. Lunch, afternoon and dinner free like nudibranchs.
The possibility of having a private boat all to ourselves allows us to independently plan the dive sites based on what we prefer, obviously everything will be dictated by the weather and the tides. Surely, starting immediately with the alien could be an excellent start, so let’s clarify one of the reasons why we find ourselves in this paradise. So set your alarm clocks because you will need to wake up very early.
To reach the Kimud shoal where it will be possible to see the thresher shark it takes about two hours of navigation, it is a site that is always very crowded in the morning and honestly it is a situation that I don’t like, we will go there when all the boats are already on the way back and this will allow us to enjoy these abysmal beings to the fullest. Furthermore, not far from the Kimud shoal is the island of Calanggaman, a must see during low tide, where a strip of white sand protrudes from the surface of the sea making it one of the most spectacular islands I have ever seen.
Last hours on this island that led us to live one of the most fascinating naturalistic experiences ever lived, we will have the opportunity to arrange all our equipment with absolute calm, free lunch and we will take our private boat to sail towards Maya in the afternoon to head towards the Cebu City.
We will also have two underwater guides, the group will be made up of a maximum of 6 people, there will be photographers but also people who want to enjoy the experience simply by simply observing, for this reason the work of the two guides will be fundamental to satisfy all needs. Eighteen dives, three dives per day with the possibility of being able to do more dives by paying the supplement.
